My studio has been in existence for
over 20 years. During that period of time I have worked with numerous
professionals, Lauren Velez (Oz, Dexter),
Lilias White (Tony Award winner), Sonja Sohn (The
Wire) and many other
working professionals.
Most recently one of my students, John Barbieri, got signed to the
talent division of the Wilhemina Agency.
In addition to my own classes at the Players Theatre I currently
teach through Todd Etelson's Actor's Technique New York and Paul
Michael's The Network, and have taught at the School
Of Visual Arts.
Directing Career: I have also directed a number of plays for the
Shortened Attention Span festival. This June I will have the disctinct
pleasure
of directing
Thompson Street, a wonderful one-act
written by the highly accomplished playwright and screenwriter Charles
Messina. Most recently Charles
wrote Mercury: The Afterlife And Times Of
A Rock God, published by
Original Works. I am honored that Charles has the confidence in me
to hire me to direct Thompson Street.
Acting
Career: I began acting over
20 years ago and am still a dues paying member of SAG and Actor's
Equity.
I have
performed
in numerous off-off Broadway plays, film, and TV, including
Law And Order, Kiss Of Death and The
City.

In Their Words:

“I have worked with Alan
many times over the years
and it’s always a joy. His feedback is specific as well as illuminating.
He creates a positive environment to work in. I highly recommend him to anyone
looking for an excellent
teacher.”
