I’m a Meisner-trained
actor/teacher and I’ve been teaching actors privately and
in classrooms for the past 20 years. My acting credits include
principal
appearances in Law & Order, Kiss
of Death (opp. David Caruso), The
City, and
numerous plays and independent feature films. I have also produced,
directed and acted in a number of Equity approved showcases.
My approach to acting is process oriented
with an emphasis on achieving truthful, specific behavior. Some of
the areas covered in my classes include:
• Building a character
• Creating urgency
• Working with subtext
• Beat changes |
I think it is essential to create a positive
atmosphere where students feel free to to take risks without
fear of humiliation or reprisals. In a relaxed and supportive environment,
they’re able to learn while they’re having fun.
Students are interviewed prior to joining classes
and workshops. Auditors welcome anytime. I look forward to hearing
from you!
